Passport Story!

I am Bama... D/O Nermai, Sathiyam, Porumai etc...
My favourite hangout place is Passport office...
My favourite passtime is writing letters to various Passport Officials...
Hey stop... All were official letters, nothing personal...
Have you ever heard of passport being delivered after 3 mighty years?

Where it all started????? My bad omen started with LEO club organised Passport camp in my college, September 2007 (Note- I graduated 2 years back). I started my debut run to passport office from then on and the marathon came to an end only recently...

My letter writing skills improved greatly... Even if you wake me up at my deep sleep and ask me write a petition letter I will do it with professional touch :) Bundles of papers were submitted to Government.
(No No there wasn’t Gandiji’s photo in any of those)

Alright, after being Mother Earth to get my passport I first headed to Sastri Bhavan, Chennai. Not once or twice I have been a frequent visitor to Sasthri Bhavan, the count went to 7 times and Thiruchirapalli Passport office for nearly 6 times. Office boys, attenders, few officers said “Hai” when they see me in their premise...
(cha cha enaku publicity pudikathunga!)

I wonder whether 1st day rush for Endhiran will match the mass there...
Joined the long zig zag queue to get the dharshan of my Days hero – Enquiry Officer :)  My turn came and with innocent face submitted my petition letter. When there are crores of Indians applying passport, I had little hope in finding my paper lost in that office... Computer saved my life, simply it throwed my Status “Police verification is yet to complete” :(

Went to College local police station at Erode and cleared papers from them... Again after 3 months no change... Next time found papers were blocked at Thiruchirapalli Police Station (Shabba mudiyala!)
I sometimes think whether Government has taken me under custody and let me out in conditional bail... I have been to Thiruchi Police Station thrice and each time submitted all my documents and on top of all kept my finger print (Ethana edathula?) every time...

Finally my Police Verification status changed to completed... I sighed with relief... Here comes another twist... I came out of that college by 2008 itself... How I will be there by 2009 November? My passport was sent to Erode Post Office as I applied while studying in college... Without intimation Passport was returned to Chennai Passport Office again...
(Enna Kodumai Sir Ithu)

Again went to passport office...This time I was allowed to walk into Assistant Passport Officer Cabin. She asked where I stay? I said that I live at “Thiruchirapalli”. I was out of the room advised to collect my passport from Thiruchirapalli passport office... In the snake game, getting bit by snake at last box and crawling down to start the game again was my state :’(

My family members started singing the old raga “Nanga appove sonom, ne ta kekala” ... My friends favourite pastime story became my Gajini style of invasion to passport offices :'( Mean while my letters were accompanied by DD for Right to Information Act, Adalt sessions, etc...; progress alone similed at me cunningly... My father started asking me why you need passport; you can live here in India itself at any circumstances... Our deity was given special pooja... Passport office nearby Swamy got a garland for this sake... Local guides earned money to filling in passport reissue form, which a BE graduate cannot fill in correctly (nan thanungo!).

Meanwhile I got placed in On Campus... Got my first arrear... Cleared that arrear in 8th Semester... Recession hit economy badly and I was wandering in streets of Chennai in search of Job... My sister got married... Worked in 3 companies before settling with HCL... My sister gave birth to a gal baby... she started calling me Chitti!

One fine Tuesday morning all my well wishers prayers were answered!

YES! I got it! My 3 years of struggle came to an end! Finally got my passport!

My manager gave me special leave to get my passport... My mom made her famous kesari... My dad treated post master who bought my passport...
ALL IZ WELL :)

Thiruvanmiyur Beach! - Bodhi Shore!

Every day comes with lot of surprises, some are appreciated many goes unnoticed!
Those who identifies it, rejoices! Others grunt over their bad luck...

I was sitting alone with the company of my weird thoughts in the asylum of Mother Sea...
Any blah blah could fit into my worries list...
I was wondering how I would take up the days ahead with positive hope...

I let my sickening thoughts to fade away and started enjoying the beauty of darkness...
My silence was broken by a distance voice... It was clear...I could hear it very closer...
It was a male voice... more properly a boy’s voice...
It said again n again:
“Common dear, you can do it! Don’t give up... You are doing things in a great way!”

I couldn’t resist from knowing who is that?At a considerable distance found Rahim, a 9 year old boy with football in his hand...Straight to him was Abdul, who tries to kick the ball to long distance...Rahim never let Abdul to fall back...He constantly encouraged him to kick the ball with his fullest energy...Rahim trusted Abdul... After so many missed trails, Abdul finally did it... The ball went high above my head carrying the triumph...The Smile that lit their face was brighter than the full moon that came to see this victory...

Rahim symbolised the positive energy in the form of Self Appreciation...
Abdul symbolised the hard work and never give up attitude in order to pursue their dreams...
All our heart longs for a simple appreciation.
Why we don’t start it from ourselves?
Why don’t we try try and try until we succeed like Abdul?

Suddenly the knot untied and found that Rahim and Abdul were the answers I was searching for...
I trust my abilities! I trust myself! I am the differentiator! I stood up from beach!

Though it was dark outside, I was guided by the enlighten thoughts to my destination...
